Cable operators seek welfare board
Puducherry, May 15 (UNI) The Puducherry cabe TV operators association has urged the administration to set up a welfare board for it's workers.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting here yesterday. The association also urged the administration to treat cable TVs as a small scale industry here.
Meanwhile, participating in a meeting organsied by the cable TV operators to honour Chief Minister N Rangasamy here last night, the Chief Minister said the administration would set up a one man commission to go into all aspects of take over of cable TV by the government through a corporation as in Tamil Nadu. The administration would follow all the steps taken in Tamil Nadu to bring cable TVs under the government control, he added.
