BJP to secure absolute majority: Ananthkumar
Dharwad, May 15 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) national general secretary Anantkumar expressed confidence that party would get absolute majority and come to power on its own strength.
Talking to newsmen during electioneering in Dharwad assembly constituency, he said with no leaders and full of rebels the Congress was now chanting the mantra of hung assembly followed by JDS and Samajavadi party. But the BJP would come to power with thumping majority, he asserted.
Stating that party is fighting elections on the issues of social justice, equality and all round development of the state Mr Kumar said that people favours for clear verdict and their choice would be BJP.
Later, Mr Anantkumar along with party's another national general Secretary Arun Jaitley visited the court hall at Hubli court complex, the venue of Saturday's blast. Talking to newsmen both Jaitley and Anantkumar condemned the blast saying it was the result of UPA government's soft stand towards terrorists and terrorism.
Both stressed the need for strengthening the intelligence system in the country to deal with terrorism and terrorists.
Hubli bar association felicitated Mr Jaitley on the occasion and urged him to raise his voice in the parliament over converting the present sanctioned circuit bench of the Karnataka high court into a permanent bench.
