Two youths arrested in fake notes case

Nagpur, May 14 (UNI) Two youths were arrested, while trying to use fake notes of Rs 1,000 denomination, police said here today.

Mohammed Salim (19) was nabbed by police, while trying to pay a chemist with a fake Rs 1000 note last night. The police then raided his New Nandanvan Lay-out residence, which he had taken on rent with his friend Mohammed Hamidul Islam. The police seized 17 more notes of the same demonination from the house.

Both the accused were residents of Malda, West Bengal, police said.

A case under section 489 has been registered against the duo, who would be kept in remand till May 20.
