New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda while expressing pain and anguish over the loss of lives in yesterday's dastardly serial bomb blasts in Jaipur today said it was not time for indulging in petty politics and blame game.
In a statement Mr Gowda said even if there were any lapses it was the responsibility of all to come together to fight the scourge of terrorism with determination. The culprits behind these gruesome attacks, irrespective of their religious and political affiliations, should be tracked and punished severely to send strong message to perpetrators of such crimes against humanity.
The authorities should take necessary steps to strengthen intelligence and security apparatus to prevent future incidents and at the same time ensure that innocent civilians are not harassed in the name of investigations.
The people of Jaipur deserved all praise for maintaining peace and communal harmony and foiling the nefarious designs of the enemies of the nation, who want to pit brother against brother with their inhuman and barbaric actions, he said.
Meanwhile, J D (S) Secretary General Danish Ali took exception to the Centre and Rajastahan Government trading charges against each other and asked both to stop politicking on the bodies of victims.
