Security beefed up following serial blasts in Jaipur
Chennai, May 14 (UNI) Police have stepped up security across Tamil Nadu following yesterday's serial bomb blasts in Jaipur.
On the orders of the Tamil Nadu DGP K P Jain and the City Police Commissioner Nanchil Kumaran, elaborate security arrangements have been made in places where people congregate in large numbers.
Armed policemen were deployed places of worship, bus stands and railway stations and in busy areas, commercial establishments and cinema halls.
People were allowed entry into railway stations and temples after thorough frisking. The baggages of the passengers were also scanned.
All vehicles entering the state are being checked and police have intensified patrolling in the city.
