Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) ONGC said that ONGC Petro-additions Limited (OPaL) will get bulk power from Gujarat-based Torrent Energy Limited for its petrochemical project in Dahej under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today between the two organisations.
Torrent has already been designated by the Gujarat Government as a co-developer for a 1,500 MW LNG/Gas based generation and distribution project plant at the Dahej Special Economic Zone.
The first phase of the project is expected to commissioned by 2011-12. According to the MoU signed with ONGC, torrent would provide OPaL with sustained power supply in synchronisation with OPaL's planned commissioning of its Petrochemicals Complex, ONGC said in a release here today.
