EC suspends two forest officers on derelection charge
Bangalore, May 14 (UNI) Two senior officials of state forest department drafted for Election duties were suspended from the service for dereliction in discharging their assigned responsibilities.
Official sources said that H K Srinivas and Anil Kumar Rathan, posted at Raichur district were suspended as they allegedly ignored to discharge poll related responsibilities.
It is the first time that two senior officials of the state government were being punished by the EC.
The EC had earlier ordered the arrest of a state government employee Kumaraswamy for allegedly working as an booth agent of a political party in Srinivaspur during the first phase elections on May 10.
