Vaishno Devi pilgrim commits suicide

Jammu, May 13 (UNI) A Vaishno Devi pilgrim committed suicide by jumping into the thousand feet deep gorge near Bhawan on Trikuta hills of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

A 40-year old unidentified man, after paying obeisance at the cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, jumped into gorge outside the cave yesterday evening.

The pilgrim died on the spot his body has been kept at Katra hospital for identification, police said.
