TN receives HC direction on Krishnamurthy case
Chennai, May 13 (UNI) The Madras High Court today directed the Tamil Nadu government to inform the court that there was any criminal case against Mr Krishnamurthy, Honorary Secretary, Agricultural and Horticultural Society.
While admitting a petition filed by Mr Krishnamurthy, Mr Justice T Sutanthiram posted the matter for further hearing after the vacation.
The government pleader submitted in the court that the city-police had not registered any case against Mr Krishnamurthy.
In his petition, Mr Krishnamurthy submitted that the Tenampet police had come to his house at Alwarpet in the midnight on May nine and introgated his wife about his whereabouts. At the time, he was away from Chennai.
Apprehending the arrest by the police, he sought anticipatory bail.
