Seven workers attempt to commit suicide

Mysore, May 13 (UNI) Seven daily wage workers of Bannari Amman Sugar factory at Alaganchi near Nanjangud in the district allegedly attempted to commit suicide in front of the factory today.

Police said the workers tried to commit suicide by consuming pesticides as the management refused to regularise their service.

They have been admitted to Nanjangud government hospital.

The factory had provided jobs to them as they had allowed acquisition of their lands for the setting up of the factory.
