Serial blasts rip through Jaipur; 15 feared killed

Jaipur, May 13 (UNI) Six powerful serial blasts tore through different places in the walled city here this evening, in which around 15 people are feared to have been killed and scores injured.

According to police sources, the blasts occurred in short intervals between 1930 hrs and 1945 hrs near religious places in Chandpol, Hawamahal, Sanganeri Gate, near City Kotwali, Maniharon Ka Rasta and LMB Hotel Johri Bazar areas.

At least three blasts happened near religious places where a large number of devotees were present to offer obeisance.

Onlookers and unofficial sources said 10 to 15 people were killed in the explosions but police were yet to confirm any casualty.

Over two dozen people are reported to have suffered injuries.

The nature of bombs and explosive could not be ascertained immediately.

Panic gripped the entire walled city after the blasts and people started running helter-skelter for cover. Shopkeepers downed their shutters in panic in the walled city market.

Traffic snarls were witnessed at several points.
