Rains likely in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Pune, May 13 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Saurashtra, Rayalseema and in remaining parts of coastal and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Kutch, and were below normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Kerala and in remaining parts of Orissa.
