Rain brings change in weather conditions

Lucknow, May 13 (UNI) People of Uttar Pradesh got some respite from hot weather as showers reportedly lashed few places of Lucknow and Gorakhpur division today.

According to the Meteorological department, most of the other places in the state wre dry.

In the last 24 hrs, the maximum temperature in Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Allahabad, Meerut and Kanpur divisions remained several notches below normal.

Hamirpur was recorded the hottest at 42.2 degree Celsius.

Maximum temperature during day time in Agra stood at 41 degree Celsius, followed by Jhansi 40.6, Varanasi 40.2, Kanpur 39.2, Lucknow 39, Bareilly 38 and Goarkhpur 37.9, which were one to three degrees below normal.

Meanwhile, the weatherman has forecast duststorm/thunderstorm for the next 24 hrs in the state.
