Mob lynches man

Lucknow, May 13 (UNI) A man was lynched after he shot at a trader in Ambedkarnagar district today.

Armed assailants fired at the district's Vyapar Mandal general secretary and a petrol pump owner Shiv Kumar.

They tried to flee the scene, but three of them were apprehended by the locals.

However, the mob lynched one of the accused and handed the other two to the police, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Faizabad range) Abhay Kumar Prasad said.

The trader was stated to be out of danger, he said.

Police have launched a manhunt to nab the absconders, he added.
