Man gets lifer for wife's murder
Sangli, May 13 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a 42-year-old man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife on Spetember 7 last year.
District Additional Sessions Judge S Y Kulkarni found Mukund Dange guilty of the crime under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and awarded the sentence.
Dange, a resident of Rajiv Gandhi slums in the city, was an alcoholic. He murdered his wife, Mangal (36), by strangling her on September 7 last year for refusing his demand for sex, prosecution said.
