KGF experiences earthquake
Kolar Gold Fields, May 13 (UNI) A mild earthquake of 2.5 Rictherscale was experienced here today leading to panic among the public.
However no damage to property or human life reported, according to police.
Confirming the incident, National Institute of Rock Mechanics Senior Scientist Dr Srinivasan, who is also incharge of Seismology, told UNI that the incident may be due to Rock bursting which was common in this area due to Gold Mine. However, it can be ascertained only after studying the report thoroughly.
The incident was experienced at least four times forcing people come out of the house fearing it to be earthquake.
