Interests of employees of CRI to be safeguarded

Shimla, May 13 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has taken up the issue of strengthening the Central Research Institute (CRI) Kasauli with the Centre to protect the interests of the employees of the Institute besides enhancing effectiveness in its functining.

Due to the persistent efforts of the state government, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has assured the state government extending all possible assistance in this regard,a government spokesman said in a release here.

He said the Ministery had informed the state government that it was in the process of restructuring CRI, Kasauli in order to protect the interests of the employees.

The Spokesman said that keeping in view the dearth of testing facility, the Centre is planning to expand the testing facility in this institute, which would contribute towards stengthening the CRI, Kasauli in future.
