HP declares holdiay on May 22

Shimla, May 13 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has declared holiday on May 22 in Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency on account of bye-election to enable the employees of educational institutions and industrial establishments in Himachal Pradesh to exercise their right of franchise.

This would also be a paid holiday to daily waged employees and also with in the meaning of section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act 1881, a spokesman said here.

The spokesman said that special casual leave maximum facilities would also be given to those employees who were working in different places in the state, but have right to vote in Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency on the production of certificate of the concerned presiding officer that the employee had actually caste his/her vote.
