Fire rages through 3 storeys in Chandi Chowk

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) A fire raged through three floors of a building in Chandni Chowk area of Central Delhi today.

However, no one was injured, said the Fire brigade officials.

Nine fire tenders battled for nearly three hours to bring the fire under control which swept through all the three floors of the two-storey building in Jogiwalan area of the busy business hub of Chandni Chowk.

The fire was reported at about 0430 hrs and tamed at 0710 hrs.

Five shops, mostly of sarees, on the ground, first and second floor were gutted.

The intensity of the fire was between 'minor' and 'medium' and could be termed as small, the officials added.
