Cong complaints to CEO against Yaddyurappa

Bangalore, May 13 (UNI) The Congress today filed a complaint with the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and demanded action against BJP leader B S Yaddyurappa for whipping up religious sentiments, during the ongoing Assembly election campaigning.

Party spokesperson V S Ugrappa said in a release that the BJP leader's reference to the saffron party as party of 'Lord Sri Rama' and the Congress and JD(S) the parties of 'Ravana', was an attempt to create communal unrest and division in the society.

''Congress has appealed to the CEO to initiate legal action against Mr Yaddyurappa and prevent him and his partymen from wooing the voters on religius lines,'' he said.
