Bangladeshi held under Foreigner's Act
Siliguri, May 13 (UNI) A Bangladeshi national was today arrested in the Simultala Batashi area under Kharibari police station near the Indo-Bangla border for residing here without valid documents.
Police here said Narayan Ray, resident of Madabpur Sitabgunj under Dinajpur district, had been arrested under Article 14 of the Foreigner's Act for residing in Indian Territory without carrying a valid passport or visa or permission from the government.
His bail plea was rejected when produced before court and sent to judicial custody.
