Agitation against establishment using Bombay to continue: BVS
Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) President of the Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena Abhijit Phanse today said Shiv Sena will agitate 'in party's style' against establishments in the city and state, who continue to use 'Bombay' rather than the new city name 'Mumbai'.
Mr Phanse, while talking to mediapersons here today, further added that he has a list of establishments who are still continuing with the old name of the city 'Bombay'.
He was earlier arrested for trying to blacken the board of the Bombay Stock Exchange for still using the old name 'Bombay'.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, while speaking to reporters, said he will have to refer to the law regarding the change of name of the city and whether the companies have to change names of the establishments accordingly, but stated that the name of the establishments should be according to the new name of the city.
He said apart from a few stray incidents, the city was peaceful.
