1 killed, 4 hurt in explosion

Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, May 13 (UNI) A 50-year-old woman was killed and four injured, one seriously, when chemicals used for manufacturing fireworks exploded at Mandaikadu, a village 40 km from Nagercoil of this district today.

Police said all the five were shifted to the Nagercoil Asaripalem Medical College Hospital where Suseela (50) died and Mohan (30) was battling for life.

The other three were receiving treatment for the injuries sustained during the incident.
