Prisoner undergoing treatment escapes from hospital
Tiruchirapalli, May 12 (UNI) A 35-year-old prisoner escaped from the Government Headquarters Hospital here where he was undergoing treatment early today.
According to police, Rajendran, hailing from Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, lodged in the Central Prison here in connection with a murder case, was admitted to the referral hospital for some ailment on May 10.
The prisoner managed to slip the escort police from hospital bed, police said.
