Murder over marriage invitation

Jabalpur, May 12 (UNI) Enraged over not giving the invitation letter of marriage, a man killed a youth here, police said today.

Shantinagar-resident and auto rickshaw driver Arun Kumar Yadav had married few days back and organised a marriage party two days ago, but did not invite his neighbour Dinesh.

Being dejected over this, Dinesh had an altercation with Arun on Saturday and demanded alcohol. They exchanged blows when the latter refused to offer liquor.

Later, Dinesh seriously injured the victim by hitting with an iron rod on his head. Arun succumbed to his injuries in the hospital yesterday.

The accused was arrested, police added.
