Mould students into responsible citizens, S C Jamir

Mumbai, May 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today urged the principals of colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai, to mould students into responsible citizens and inculcate spirit of nationalism in them.

Mr Jamir spoke to the delegation of principals of colleges, affiliated to the University of Mumbai that met him at Raj Bhawan, a release said.

The delegation was led by the Sheriff of Mumbai Indu Shahani and Vice-chancellor Dr Vijay Khole. Principals of 12 colleges briefed the Governor about the delegations proposed visit to the United Kingdom during May 19 to 24.

S C Jamir also expressed hope that the visit by principals to leading universities and educational institutions in the UK would enable them to learn the best practices in providing leadership and excellence in higher education followed by well known universities in the UK, the release added.
