Medvedev appoints Gen Patrushev as Russian Security Council head
Moscow, May 12 (UNI) Russian President Dmitry Medvedev today appointed Federal Security Service (FSB) chief General Nikolai Patrushev as secretary to the Russian Security Council.
Mr Medvedev also appointed Alexander Bortnikov, who previously headed the economic security department of the FSB as the head of the Federal Security Service. Russian Security Council was set up on June 3, 1992, and is chaired by the Russian President.
