Madonna slips up with the 'F-word'

London, May 12 : Queen of pop Madonna caused a sensation on a BBC show when she used f-word twice during an interview, leading to furious complaints from the audience.

The 49-year-old used the f-word twice during the Radio 1 Big Weekend gig live on BBC3, BBC HD and Radio 1 and the channel was stormed with complaints from the audience.

During the gig she introduced her song Hung Up to fans at the concert in Maidstone, Kent and said "You guys are going to have to start f***ing it up out there 'cos I need to feel some love."

"I'm going to do an old song. But not too old. F**k the present. Let's live in the past."

Meanwhile, Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe apologised for broadcasting the offensive content.

"An incredible performance . . . that said, a quick apology for those people who might have felt the content offensive," The Sun quoted Lowe as saying.

The BBC later confirmed they did receive complaints.
