JD(U) stages dharna to protest price rise

Patna, May 12 (UNI) Bihar JD(U) today staged dharna before the block offices across the state to protest the UPA government's failure to check sky-rocketting prices of essential commodities.

Party spokesman Ravindra Singh said a large number of workers participated in the dharna across the state and urged the President to dismiss the UPA government and order for Lok Sabha elections to save the people from the pangs of rising prices.

''Our party will continue to agitate till the UPA government is removed in the interest of the masses,'' he said adding that all cells of the party had actively participated in the dharna.
