Ganguly new Madras HC Chief Justice
Chennai, May 12 (UNI) Justice A K Ganguly of Orissa High Court was today appointed Chief Justice of Madras High Court.
Justice Ganguly, who replaces Justice A P Shah, would assume office on May 19.
Justice Shah was recently transferred to Delhi High Court as its Chief Justice.
The warrant of appointment of Justice Ganguly as Chief Justice of Madras High Court was issued by President Pratibha Patil this evening, official sources here said.
He would be sworn in by Governor S S Barnala at Raj Bhavan, the sources said.
