British high commissioner in India meet separatists in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 12 (UNI) The British High Commissioner in India, Sir Richard Stagg was briefed by several separatist leaders about the prevailing situation in Kashmir.

Sir Richard, on a maiden visit to Kashmir, met the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) at front headquarter at Maisuma near here.

He also met Hurriyat Conference (Mirwaiz) chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq at amalgam headquarters Rajbagh.

Democratic Freedom Party (DPF) president Shabir Ahmad Shah was also present on the occasion.

The separatist leaders informed the high commissioner about their stand on the Kashmir issue.

They also brought into his notice the alleged Human Rights violations being committed by the security forces.

Sir Richard was also told about the unidentified graves found in different parts of the valley, particularly in Uri.
