66% students cleared class XII exams in Manipur

Imphal, May 12 (UNI) About 65.70 per cent of the students appearing for the Manipur Higher Secondary School Examinations have managed to secure pass marks.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, which declared the results yesterday, stated that the results were an improvement from last year's record of 56.66 per cent.

About 14,953 candidates appeared for the examinations, among which 9,824 candidates passed.

In the Arts stream, Heigrujam Premkumar Singh of CC Higher Secondary School secured the first position.

In the Commerce stream, the top honours went to Chingripem KAS of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (Arts and Commerce).

In the Science stream, Monali Moirangthem of Herbert School, Changangei topped the list.
