Develop virtues to build a strong India
Balasore,May 11 (UNI) Senior scientist and former President APJ Abdul Kalam today urged the students to develop virtues like righteousnes, courage and confidence to build a strong India.
Interacting with the students before addressing a meeting, organised to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Bhadrak Zilla Parishad here today, Dr Kalam said these virtues were needed to realise the dream of making India a developed nation by 2020.
Dr Kalam asked the students to pledge to do their best to achieve the dream.
Later addressing the function, the former President administered an oath to the people, present at the meeting, including the dignitaries in the dais, to make the society corruption free.
The dignitaries present in the dais included were governor M C Bhandare, Justice B P Das, DG police Gopal Nanda, Revenue minister and chairman of the celebration committee Manmohan Samal.
During the 15 minute interaction with the students, the former president replied several questions of the students.
