Cong MP demands public statement on TDP leaders allegations
Hyderabad, May 11 (UNI) Congress leader and MP Undavilli Arun Kumar today sought a public statement from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu and his brohter-in-law N Harikrishna, party Rajya Sabha member, for levelling allegations against each other.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Kumar recalled that Mr Harikrishna had made allegation on March 9, 1999 that Mr Naidu had a hand in counterfeit notes printing and demanded an inquiry into the death of his father and TDP founder-president late N T Rama Rao.
Mr Kumar asked what transpired Mr Naidu to invite the family members of N T Rama Rao while he ignored all of them when he was in power.
Stating that Mr Naidu had rejected Ministerial berth to Mr Harikrishna during TDP regime, the Congress leader wanted to know what was the secret behind in sending Mr Harikrishna to Rajya Sabha all of sudden and praising film actors Balakrishna and Junior NTR.
All this indicated that Mr Naidu had come to a conclusion that it was very difficult for the TDP without using the glamour of NTR and his family members for the survival of his party in future, he said.
