4 accused in fake currency racket remanded to police custody
Ahmedabad, May 11 (UNI) A local court today remanded to police custody all the four accused in the fake currency racket busted by the city crime branch.
The accused, who were arrested from Nadiad town yesterday by a crime branch team led by Inspector A V Gakhad, have been remanded to police custody till Tuesday by the City Metropolitan Court.
Those remanded are Manoj Kumar Bipin Patel (35), Dilip Jamsinh Chauhan (28), Ketan Kanhaiyalal Patel (35) and Kishan Kumar Ramavtar Mistry (36).
They were arrested after their names were disclosed during interrogation of Dipesh Jyotindra Mehta and Rasik Ratansinh, who were arrested with fake currency notes of Rs 70,000, in denomination of Rs 500, near the CU Shah college on Ashram Road on May 8.
The crime branch also seized genuine currency of Rs 80,000 from Dipesh and Rasik.
