Jagjit Singh undergoes heart surgery
New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh has undergone a heart surgery at a city hospital, hospital officials said today.
The 66-year-old singer was admitted to Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre earlier this week with chest pain, the Officials said without providing any details.
''The surgery was successful and his condition is improving fast. He is well on way to recovery,'' they added.
''He is under observation and will remain so till we are fully satisfied with his condition,'' they said.
