EC officials seize cash in K'taka
Bangalore, May 10 (UNI) Election Officials in Bhagalkot District have seized Rs 18 lakh in cash carried in two buses by a marriage party, Karnataka Chief Electoral officer M N Vidyashankar said today.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said the seizure of cash was made in Badami Assembly constituency that falls in Bhagalkot District.
Replying to questions, the CEO said as many as 2,000 criminal cases had been registered against various people for violating model code of conduct.
