EC officials seize cash in Bhagalkot district
Bangalore, May 10 (UNI) Election Officials in Bhagalkot district have seized cash of Rs 18 lakhs carried in two buses by a marriage party, Karnataka Chief Electoral officer M N Vidyashankar said today.
Speaking to newsperson he said the seizure of cash was made in Badami assembly seat that falls in Bhagalkot district.
Replying to questions the CEO said that as many 2000 criminal cases has been registered against various people for violating election code of conduct since the election code of conduct was enforced in the state.
