Dhavlikar releases books for visually-impaired children
Panaji, May 10 (UNI) State Social Welfare Minister Sudin Dhavalikar today released two Konkani books in Braille that have been published for visually-impaired children.
The two books released today are entitled ''Konkani Braille'' and ''Chhum Chhum Ghungari'' and have been written by Ms Dhanashri Zambaulikar and Mr Pundalik Naik.
While releasing the books, the Minister assured that the Goa Government will always extend support to writers who write for the benefit of the special children.
The Minister also exhorted parents of special children to always encourage their wards and urge them on to lead normal lives.
Both the books are published by the Goa Konkani Academy.
''Chhum Chhum Ghungari'' is a compilation of poems and songs published in Braille script.
