4 more held in fake currency racket
Ahmedabad, May 10 (UNI) Crime Branch sleuths today arrested four more persons in connection with a recently busted fake currency racket.
According to the crime branch sources, its team, led by Inspector A V Gakhad, arrested Majonkumar Bipin Patel, Dilip Jamsinh Chauhan, Ketan Kanhaiyalal Patel and Kishankumar Ramavtar Mistry from Nadiad town, about 60 km from here.
During interrogation, Dipesh Jyotindra Mehta and Rasik Ratansinh, the accused arrested earlier, disclosed the names of the four associates. The duo were arrested with fake currency notes worth Rs 70,000, in the denomination of Rs 500, by crime branch from near C U Shah College on Ashram Road on May 8, sources added.
On that day, crime branch also seized genuine currency worth Rs 80,000 from Dipesh and Rasik.
