223 cases settled in Lok Adalats
Chandigarh, May 10 (UNI) As many as 223 cases, including civil and criminal, were settled today in various Lok Adalats at Jhajjar, Dabwali, Devdhar village in Yamunanagar district and village Sadola in Jhajjar district.
The Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA), said two MACT cases pertaining to death or injury arising out of vehicular accidents have also been settled, wherein an amount of Rs 6.59 lakh was awarded as compensation.
Similarly, 221 cases pertaining to other categories have also been settled.
He said to get their cases settled in these Lok Adalats, interested people might move an application to the concerned District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman or Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority in the district or senior most Judicial Officer-cum-Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, under whose jurisdiction the case falls.
