Train hits scooter, one killed, two injured

Fatehgarh Sahib, May 9 (UNI) A scooterist was killed when he was hit by Super Hawrah Mail while he was crossing the railway track at Mandi Gobindgarh.

According to sources, the accident occurred when 35-year-old Rakesh Sareen tried to cross the railway line at main railway crossing at Mandi Gobindgarh in the afternoon today.

In the accident, two other persons were also injured, when the scooter after it was hit by the train, thrown into air and fell on two persons, Harinder Singh (24) and Parveen Kumar (37), who were standing near the railway crossing.

They were rushed to Civil Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, where Rakesh Sareen was declared brought dead while the condition of other two are out of danger.
