Tata Indicom launches 'Walky Talky'
Bangalore, May 9 (UNI) Tata Indicom, the fastest growing telecom service provider, today launched 'Walky Talky' in its attempt to capture Home Phone category.
Part of the Rs 119,000 Crore Tata Group, Tata Teleservices has already made inroads in Karnataka and with this new product the company aims to further increase its market share to 58 per cent to 60 per cent from the present 50 per cent.
"The company currently has about 50 per cent share in the mobile and walky telephones and with this new product it was expected to grow further by 8 per cent to 14 per cent", said Tata Teleservices Ltd Regional Head (South) Sanjeev Khera.
Speaking to newsmen after the launch here today, he said that to begin with the product, priced at Rs 1399 including connection kit, is available for post paid customers and it would be extended to pre paid customers also.
He said that "the new Walky has been designed to cater to the growing needs of the Home Phone users." UNI MSP RM GM1429
