Panchaloha idols stolen from ancient temple
Vijayawada, May 9 (UNI) Four panchaloha idols were stolen from ancient Venkateswaraswamy temple at Adavinekkalam village in Aagiripalli Mandal of Krishna district today.
Police said the one-and-half-feet high Lord Venkateswara idol and that of his consorts Sridevei, Bhudevi and Alwar and two hundis were lifted by miscreants from the 450-year-old temple.
The idols were presented by a devotee 25 years ago.
However, the value and weight of the idols were not known immediately, police added.
