Police notice to MNS Prez Raj Thackeray

{image-raj thackeray_09052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Mumbai, May 9: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray has been served notice asking him not to resort for provocative speech. Mr Thackeray had delivered speech targetting north Indians last week.

“We have asked Thackeray to explain the remarks he made at his rally in Shivaji Park Saturday," senior police inspector Vilas Gurav told the sources. According to police sources the notice has been served, that he should refrain from such speech. It may be recalled that Raj Thackeray was arrested in February this year for his speech against north Indians which resulted in violence in different parts of the state.
