Ban on late night computer access provokes Kanpur IIT students

Kanpur, May 9 (UNI) Hundreds of students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, protested the restriction imposed on internet usage until late night by assembling at computer section late last night.

According to official sources, the restriction was made in the interest of students only, as after late night internet access, students fail to awake early morning and get late for their classes.

The same restriction applies in other IIT's of the country, sources added.

However, a student leader said that most of the students get time to access internet only late at night.

Meanwhile, a committee has been set up to resolve the dispute.
