Rains to occur in sub-Himalayan West Bengal

Pune, May 8 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

They are also likely to occur at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat state,Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Day temperathures were appreciably above normal in Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal,Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and south interior Karnataka.

The day temperatures were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and coastal Saurashtra. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in north Orissa, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Vidarbha, in parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. They were below normal in Marathwada and in parts of Bihar,while they were normal over rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. They have also occurred at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

They also occurred at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.
