Raichur and Gulbarga recorded 40.2 deg cel temp

Bangalore, May 8 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): T.Narsipura 3, Bandipura 2, Kushalnagar, Kollegal 1 each.

Maximum Temperatures changed little over the State They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur and Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.2 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over North Interior Karnataka.
