Namibia interested in India's gems

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Namibia today evinced keen interest in Indian medium, small and micro enterprises (MSMEs), especially in precious stones and gems and jewellery.

The interest was shown by a four-member Namibian parliamentary delegation when it called on MSME Secretary Dinesh Rai here.

Mr Rai said the MSME sector accounted for about 40 per cent of the manufacturing output and nearly 40 of the total export of the country.

He said the basic focus, of late, had been to make collateral-free credit available to the potential entrepreneurs as also to encourage private participation in the sector.
