Jawan hurt in accidental fire in Jammu
Jammu, May 8 (UNI) A jawan of Railway Police was today injured in accidental firing in the Gole Gujral area on the outskirts of the city, police sources said.
The jawan, identified as Harmeet Singh, a resident of Gole Gujral, came to his house last night, police sources told UNI, adding, ''while he was busy cleaning his service weapon this morning, it suddenly went off injuring the jawan with splinter hitting his body.'' He was immediately hospitalised and police have registered a case of negligence and an inquiry has been ordered.
